Not a TVR but I had a boot rack for my old S1 Elise. No brackets, just four big suction cups - the kind glaziers use. Took a while for me to trust it fully, but in the end I carried bikes, rucksacs, tents, etc. the length of the country on it. Did not mark the bodywork at all, although I was extremely careful to clean both the cups and bodywork each time I fitted it. Word of caution though, which may/may not apply to TVRs, I'm told you cannot fit the same rack to S2 Elises as the clam is thinner and won't take the strain - another reason the S1 was always my favourite.
