Redline max??

Can any of you chasps out there tell me what the max I should do, revs wise on me wedge.
Its a yank,(LHD) 1985 280i, 300 bhp.

If we are talking about the Ford 2.8 Injection V6?
Then this model developed 145(U.S) bhp @ 5700rpm This engine was never happy at higher revs with most developing "peak" h.p @ C.5500 rpm and power dropping considerablyafter that, but you say "your" engine is 300 brake the max ive seen is a genuine 260
twin turbo motor.My advise is to contact the engine tuner and ask at which "revs" the 300 bhp is developed and use that as your red line also have they got a dyno print out!! Tony

The 300 bhp was what the engineers got out of it. Where n why or how is past me. Perhaps I aught to get it tested myself. It goes like stink tho.
