Procedures for selling car abroad?

I'm selling a car (heavens no, an MG, not my grif!) and the guy whos buying it lives in Belgium and wants to come and collect it on a trailer. (The daft sod has even paid me half the price already to secure it without ever seeing the car up close or meeting me - good job I'm honest)

Having never done this kind of thing before what is the procedure regarding registration documents etc? This is obviously a private sale, I'm not a dealer! Does he need to take the reg document for customs?

Make a photocopy of the V5 and give this to your buyer. Keep the original and send off to DVLA, filling in the part where is says 'car permanently exported'.

This is what I did when I sold a TVR to a guy in Holland a few years ago, and his mechanic flew over and drove it back.
