Oops, just got rear ended.

Fortunately not in my Tuscan.
I am in California at the moment driving a Pontiac Grang Prix and was hit from behind by a Mustang.
What has amazed me is that neither car suffered any damage.
It was hard to say how fast the nice young lady was doing when she hit me but it felt hard enough and my neck is in agreement.
Does anyone know what speed of impact plastic bumpers are expected to withstand ?

Worst "I'm in sunny California while you saps are at home in freezing Blighty" thread ever.

Yes well your a right there.
But I was gob smacked that the only damage was a small scuff of the paint on my "P" for Pontiac.
Apart from that I got a promise of a free drink from the girls Cafe in Berkeley.
American cars, bigger, stronger and 5" longer.
