First of all, hello from a newbie with a BRG Griff 500 96, yee hhhha

We are off to Forest of Dean again, last time I went there last month I couldn't find any Super Unleaded or preferably Optimax. Anyone point me in the right direction, tried shell and esso websites and can't seem to find a petrol station locator

Read a few posts so far and the one about the Octaine booster additive sounds promising... Anyone know where to get it from, the posts implied that halfords do not have it, although the post was 2 years ago?

Cheers from the one with the big grin every time he drives to work

Can't help as such with petrol stations there, but this is the link for the Shell Garage locator...

Hey, you have sharper eyes than me. Cheers Olly. Just checked it out....

Well I have a 40 mile round trip to fill up... mmm, thats 130/140 to the dreaded 1/4 full (guess the petrol) mark from a full tank, so that gives me 90/100 miles to play with.

Anyone know where to get normal Super unleaded in the area or anymore links for petrol stations?

Like the Cerbi, best I can do is a piccy in the background of the griff (or "The Monster" as I call it), in a photo of my rover 200vi.... www.madguppy.com

I live in the FoD and haven't come across any Super or Optimax. Nearest is Gloucester, on A40, or near Cribbs Causeway - Bristol (3 miles ish from M4/M5 interchange). I usually fill up before heading home !!
And yes, a 40ish mile round trip to fill up - any excuse for a drive

Cheers

Alex

Keep an eye out for us, BRG Griff (Me) and Dark Blue Chim (Steve Maton) will be cruising around the Ross on Wye to Monmouth area from the 28th-31st Aug. If you are near Drybrook you will most likely see us!!!

Alex, You may find this rather useful theaa.com... motoring.... find cheaper petrol... you will have to setup a user login, but it's the quickest register option I've ever used, no naff marketing info to fill in

You can search for a SPECIFIC TYPE OF PETROL and a radius of up to 25km

I've found super unleaded within 11.5 miles of GL179HW, now thats a shorter round trip. Phew! Thats 2 stations at 11 miles and 2 at 13....

Gavin,

Thanks for the heads up on the website - I'll have a look.
As for that weekend, if you see a Silver Chim being driven around let me know, I'll be overseas so might be the wife learning to drive it
Drybrook is very familiar, did see a Tuscan there once.

Cheers for now, and watch out for the sheep!!

Alex
