Does anybody else suffer from a gear stick and handbrake so hot that you can fry an egg on it. My Dec 2001 Tamora has left a 5 speed branding on my left hand.

Anyone got any ideas to alleviate this problem. The TVR modification does not work so anybody tried anything else.

Noticed it in Luca Brazzi's Tuscan on the weekend. Great car! You'll just have to change gear quicker or wear gloves

Handbrake was a tad warm on Saturday, but I think that was just the weather.

And what weather!

I find the Chim gets a fair bit warmer than the Tusc but both get pretty hot.

There is supposed to be a heat sink mod on the Tuscan to stop it getting too hot - maybe there is something similar on the Tamora. I suppose the a sink will only take longer to warm up - not much use on a couple of hundred mile journey !

Gear stick and handbrake only get hot when stationary, when on the move they are aircooled.

Another excuse to keep moving quickly.

This does seem to be a common problem, especially on the earlier Tuscans like mine(2000). there is a heat sink mod, as mentioned by Bob, try a chat with your dealer.
