Does anyone know if Bruntingthorpe has or will have swept the runway before Mania, as I am hearing reports that there were lots of stones from others who've been there before?

er................no. It'll be stonier than a stony road that's just had some new stones put down.

As long as you don't follow or get too close to a car in front it won't be too bad.

Been on enough track days to know that stones at 140mph make a mess of the car, let alone the windscreen!

The runway at Duxford always left a lot to be desired as my nose cone on the Griff will testify.

Won't stop me going down the runway, just tend not to follow anybody if I know it's dirty.

I'm sure the organisers and fellow TVRCC members would appreciate anyone bringing along a good stiff broom to help sweep the runway beforehand

My last experience of Brunters had cars very well spaced out on the speed run so I feel that stone chips were not a problem, unlike the circuit where cars travel much closer together

Easiest way to clean the runway is to get Tony Paxton to do a high speed taxi run in the Lightning first !!

Now that is a LOUD exhaust , 16 ton high speed aluminum pursuit toob !!
