Spotlight: Peninsula TVR

We drop in for a cup of tea

A couple of weeks back we took the opportunity to drop in on Peninsula TVR. Those who have been hanging around PH for some time will be familiar with the specialists based down in Devon.

Growth has been rapid for the company and this year they took the logical step of becoming official TVR dealers. This has involved them taking new premises to house a showroom and workshop facilities. Whilst their old site at Cullompton will still be in use for a year or so yet, proprietor Richard Smith and his staff have big plans for the new site.

Before they moved in they stripped the showroom and have completely refurbished it including office space and the waiting area making for a bright welcoming environment. The workshop is fully up and running and they have a very generously sized display area. A good range of stock was available when we dropped in ranging from the Wedges through to their new demonstrators. They have more space available and are currently investigating options to expand the buildings and workshop area further still.

The enthusiasm of the team at Peninsula is quite refreshing. Whilst they are a business, there's no doubt that they love their TVRs too. That cup of tea we dropped in for kept us there for over an hour.

If you're heading down to the south west, it's well worth dropping by to check out their cars and blag a cup of tea. Just don't take your cheque book or they'll talk you into an upgrade .

OI YOU WAKE Just do it if its what you want even if its for 6 months you've got the T-shirt.
If i worked out the cost per mile for my Tiv and Bike it would probably be very frightening, but you dont take it with you so spend and enjoy.

Well, here's a thing. The GT team and crew are lovely, super, smashing blokes. Chatted to them at Oulton in the pit lane and they get eleven out of ten. Perhaps they should try instilling some of their customer relation skills to the retail staff at their new garage. Recently, my husband popped in and browsed around the cars outside. As he leant over to look inside one, the alarm went off and a snooty woman came out of the office, silenced the alarm, scowled and walked back into the office. Not so much as a smile, or 'may I help you', she didn't speak at all. No, he was treated like some poo she'd just trodden in. Naturally, he leant over the car again just to set the alarm off again - the same procedure was repeated. Nil points. How do they expect to sell cars? All I can say is good luck to the Peninsula TVR team in the GT series and yah boo sucks to Mrs. Snotty - give her the sack!

Dennis the Menace - honestly! What a thing to say, you're such a bloke. Hormones are really no excuse for rudeness, you don't find me behaving like that! Yeh, right.
