Brackley Carnival 'World of Machines' Cars needed
Discussion
Well its my turn to look for volunteers ! Our local carnival/fete this year is titled 'World of machines' and the organisers have asked me if I will bring the chim along to play. Im never one to miss an opportunity to show off so of course I said yes, but I was wondering if anyone else would like to join me.... Its on June 14 the basic setup is to join the parade down the high street, its about 2 miles but takes an hour or so (lucky I've sorted out my overheating problems !) with the parade ending at the local school field. All the vehicles then park in the school field for people to gaze longingly at (so lots of polish will be needed!). I will have to try and lay my hands on some TVR flags to make the chim stand out from the crowd.
The parade starts at 11AM, with everyone gathering at 10AM... and I will be offering bacon butties and tea at my house beforehand, so if you have a TVR (or in fact anything unusual!) I'd love to hear from you.
Its a fun family day so the usual tug of war, display teams, kids go karts and such, click here for all the details http://www.brackley-carnival.co.uk/2008_Carnival.h...
They are only expecting me to turn up so if we can get a few cars together it will be a nice surprise for them and an opportunity for serious revving in public !
Cheers

Not sure if you'd want another Chim, but thats not too far from me and I'll probably be free that date if you like? It's loud too so perfect for showing off!
Another chim would be great , the noisier the better
. If my neighbour is around on that date (he travels a lot) he's going to being his V12 E-type Jag as well. Lets show them what proper machines look and sound like ;-)
Once I have final details I will get in touch, but please book teh date on your calendar now .
Cheers !
Any more volunteers ?

There is a premier travel inn which is about a mile from silverstone £55 a night http://www.premierinn.com/pti/hotelInformation.do?... its atached to the green man pub which does good food and drink. There is the crown hotel on the high street about £50 a night and there are a few B&B's that are about £25 - £35 a night. I've never tried any of them so I cant comment on the quality... more details here http://www.4hotels.co.uk/uk/brackley.html

I'm going to have a chat with the organisers and see if I can blag us a space on the top field near the entrance, that way if anyone wants to go at any point they can just drive away. And if I can get it just right we will be near the beer tent and ice cream :-)
