Taraka vs Stealth - Decision Made
Discussion
Following on from last weeks 'controversial' post - I've made my decision - a lot of influence comes from you guys - particular thanks to Corin (Mr Aggressive!!), Quinny (Mr Reasoned), Chris P (Mr Taraka) and Chimjunkie (Mr Hurt Feelings & I think talking not entirely b
ks). Sorry I don't know how to do the censored bit.
I have today ordered a V8 Developments Stealth Cam, plus ACT Smoothbore Induction Kit. In addition I'm having the fuel injectors cleaned and then we'll see what happens. Most i've consulted seem to believe that the Stealth can be run without re-map at this point and that the standard set up will adapt.
I can do incremental upgrades of trumpets/plenum, ECU, AFM and have a re-map as required. Therefore I can spend some money now and then choose when/if to spend more - Corin, for one, is adamant that his Stealth needs no re-mapping or any other adjustments, so I thought I'd get it fitted and then review the situation.
As regards the Taraka and by the way Dom was quiet right to offer it - it's his job/business - Chris has a great one, but there are others who don't, also Quinny quite rightly says it's a rebuild - I've decided I don't need a rebuild, just some extra horses/torque and rather than spend up to £5k in one option I can do it in stages.
Hope this satisfies everyone and that my form of logic works!!!
Neil Garner, who is local to me and well qualified, is going to do the work - I'll report back - with pics and Dyno results if there is some interest.
Thanks to all for their input.

My stealth wouldn't run on standard chip, but it was put in with a complete rebuild. The chip was replaced with a standard off the shelf Mark Adams chip and now the Emerald is going in . .
On injector cleaning, I have been told it isn't worth it. For the money you'll pay to get em cleaned, and they'll never perform like they did, you're as well off to buy a new set.
I'm not aying bigger ones, just replace like for like . .. for now.
They do wear, and no amount of cleaning or replacing will change the wear. Maybe worth having them checked first, and then decide which ones need replacing as it's unlikely they are all knackered
