Autocar 0-100-0 Challenge

I wondered how many people who have read this weeks Autocar have noticed the "standing mile" times underneath each car tested? The Tuscan is only beaten by the Zonda of all the road cars tested, it is quicker than the Lambo the Ultima and the R500!
Having owned a RR Tuscan I always knew how fast the car is but always struggled to get fast quarter mile times at Santa Pod and Elvington because of wheelspin at take off. The Tuscan S and RR are the same engines and are very torquey making it very hard to get grip on takeoff and subsequently poorish 0-30 times.
I notice that the Tuscan in this weeks mag has a very good 0-30 and 0-60 times and this is put down to the tyres used on the day. This may or not be the case but i have my doubts about the tyres, I now own a 400bhp T350 which doesn't have the same torque as the Tuscan but definitely has more top end power and is so much easier to get off the line due to the engine characteristics.
Just made me wonder if this engine was now in the Tuscan?? If that is not the case then the tyres are the ones to have on any TVR!
Still proves that the Tuscan is one of the fastest if not the fastest car over a standing mile you will meet on the road, unless you meet up with an Enzo or Pagini etc!
Oh and my T350 is awesome handles better than any of my previous 7 TVR's is the best built by far and has hardly anything go wrong in fact at the 1,000 mile service with Heath at the factory my note said "first service and can you swap front wheel I kerbed within 10 miles!"

Oh, and faster than the Noble, so you might want to make that a "Caterham and yacht owner" chat up line.
