veneer dash split

I have a small split(about 3cms)in the corner of the venner dash of my Griff - towards the temp gauge side.

I'm sure its increasing in size (ooh erh!)and has an associated mark on the veneer in advance of the present split - looking like its ready to join the existing split- if you know what I mean?

The rest of the dash is fine - any body with any suggestions to either fix or prevent it splitting further whilst minimizing the chance of me making it into a dinner fit for the pooch (the non-handy andy type person that I am)

Mine did that as well (The dash that is!). I managed to get evo stick behind the veneer and stuck it back down. The crack is much less visible and has stopped growing.
