Im my experience (And opinion) Ian is the best man ive ever taken the Tusc to (Now recently sold unfortunately!!!)

I live 200 miles from him in London and I took it to him two years running for servicing, MOT, retrim and respray. He's cheaper than anywhere else and just more trustworthy taht any other dealer or indie ive tried (And ive tried a few!)

The only thing with the above is he is always mega busy and usually works round the clock and it can be difficult to get hold of him!

Im not sure what the problem is your having but the quality of his work and attention he pays to each car meant that I wouldnt take my car anywhere else, if/when I get my next TIV hes the man i'll be using!

Hope this helps

Ian is a top bloke!!! His work is second to none in my opinion.

Having said that, his working hours are a little peculiar though. It can be a real nightmare to get hold of him!! Best bet is to go down to his workshop and see him, he will be there until early morning most nights.

My car has always felt amazing after Ian has had his hands on it!!!

As Above!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ian is the man to see in NW and perhaps the whole UK for your TVR, he has promised me he will get mine done for Tuesday evening!

To be trusted totally, patience being a virtue in Middlewich. I may sing his praises on this thread after I pick it up without the misfire.

Without a doubt the best man without exception to have anywhere near your pride and joy - you only have to spend a bit of time at his garage to see how much he is loved by his customers. It's because he's so good that he is so busy - he really has no time for himself, he lives and breathes these machines. Trust me, it will be worth waiting for. He has looked after the best Cerbera in the world in for the last 2 years (though his is tastier I reckon) and it always feels a million dollars when it comes home.

Crackin' shot with an air rifle as well.

GENIUS!!!!!!

Took my sag to him last year for a 12k/2 year service, great value for money and expertese. If he says it'll be ready for lunch it might be more like dinner, however you will be please with the results well worth waiting those extra couple of hours if you love your pride and joy!

He is exceptionally talented and could definitely charge twice as much if he wished to. If you think of a fish and chip shop, would you prefer one that is empty and can serve you immediately or one with a queue? I personally would rather wait in the queue. If you have trouble contacting him, it may be as simple as someone else on the phone or the girl in the office away from her desk. Although I do most jobs myself, he is generous with advice and helpful in sourcing parts. His garage also does MOTs which can be rather helpful.

I would echo all of the above. Top service. Only difficulty is getting the car back when he is balancing the pots - he is a real perfectionist and wont let it go until he is 200% happy!! wink I started using him as he is my closest and it is a happy coincidence that he is so good

Yup, Ian's standard of work is fantastic and his attention to detail second to none. As others have alluded to though, patience is most definately a virtue you need when collecting your car wink. That attention to detail means that he always seems to spot one more thing to sort out before letting you drive away your P&J. When you do eventually leave though, your car will be running better than ever before.

Ian is brilliant with the Tivs, he as said before lives and breaths TVR's. For servicing and mechanical he is definately number one! and an ace shot too!!!!

As long as you dont mind a "little" wait.
