Yesterday I came across a New Green Tuscan (AR51 TVR) buried in a verge outside Bexhill in East Sussex. It looked pretty much destroyed and had taken a lamp post out on the way. It's a straight road in a built-up area and it looked like no other car was involved ( I also saw no skid marks). I just hope the driver and passenger were OK. Having had my Chimaera out of shape last week while pushing a little too hard for the conditions, I'ts a harsh reminder that big BHP and wet/icy roads can be very nasty indeed. Take it steady, and keep safe in 2002!

I hope all involve are ok, but couldn't help but smile regarding the No: Plate, very close to ARSE TVR.
Be carefull out there!

I had a very similar experience in August when a momentary loss of brain function saw me end up backwards in a ditch. No-one was hurt, but the car was off the road for three months, which was a good thing as it has taught me respect and made me appreciate the car more. I've got it back now and it's better than ever, but I sure am taking it easy - bitter experience is a very good teacher.

I went to a Supra meet last Saturday in Stevenage and a guy in his early 20's totalled his mkiv twin turbo.
He'd only had it 2 months, and spun it on a roundabout.
Completely wiped out the drivers side of the car.

I remember one of the first TVR's I saw was around 1991/1992, I think it must have been a griff crunched into the flyover at the end of the Royal Victoria Dock in London.Ouch.

Wishing everyone a safe 2002.

Yup. Learned a lesson this time last year. Midday, sunny after a hard frost, 30mph round a corner on a lane in the countryside, exited corner onto a sheet of ice and wrote the car off. (Still, it was only a venerable a Celica GT4 with a knackered turbo ... )
