Have any of you had experience with getting a dash repaired with a crack in the veneer ? How much of a faff is it getting the instrumentation out ? and how much did it cost to have it refurbed / or buy new ? ?

Thanks

There's an ad in the back of Sprint about that - and I've seen an ad on PH as well.

Hi Snorky,

As you are in Lincolnshire, I can recommend City Polishers Ltd. They are near Spalding in the south of the county. I had my 400se panels re veneered by them about a year ago, and they did an excellent job. Price wish I paid 160 + VAT for 3 main panels.
Their number is 01406 380984.

As hotter it gets as more cracks appearing.
Bought the heater panel new recently, before the maindash got cracks as well.
That small panel (27x7cm)
costed GBP 95,-- excl. VAT

Had same problem with my 4.3 precat Griffith. London Carriage Craft did a first class job of re-veneering the dash for £160 + VAT. They advertise on PH and in TVR Sprint. Talk to Malcolm Hall of LCC - he's had years of experience with Rolls, Bentley, etc., etc.

Removal and refitting wasn't too hard - just take your time and follow Shpub's advice in the Bible 2.

I've recently used London Carridge Craft, who have just started advertising on here, and I cannot praise them enough. The standard of work is amazing, it makes the standard TVR fitted veneer look cheap and amateurish.

This quality does come at a price though, mine came in at just over £500 for the 5 panels in my wedge. Guess it will be cheaper in a newer car due to there being fewer panels.
