Mine was a good few year's ago..

Parked the TVR in the Garage in gear..

Started the car in gear and the car leapt forward and hit the freezer that was in front of it..

Another (not mine):

A customer was demonstrationing his new remote start system he had installed on his car to a rather reluctant garage owner and the car was in gear rolleyes.. sadly the garage owners Tuscan was parked in front.. ouch.

What's your story..

I had to move my old Orion, but I could start it as I had stripped the rocker covers off and was in the process of stripping the engine...decided to push it down the driveway (the type with a metal barrier/bar at the end)...getting close to the end so I put my foot on the brake and nothing

Cue a huge dent in the bonnet and wing paperbag

Clutch went once and a mate gave me a tow.
It was OK on the straight road but when I got to the first corner
.........
You guessed it, CLICK, steering lock came on. Keys in my pocket.

My mate thought I was trying to over take him.
Lucky nothing was coming.
That was a red faced day. silly

Not me but worth a mention - my brother's father in law had an automatic large Vauxhall many years ago and putting it in his integral garage to the bungalow got the welt of his shoe stuck under the brake pedal. Result he went through the wall at the end of the garage and into the bedroom behind!! Oops!

Driving some years ago in my Triumph Spitfire (had only had it for two days, P & J at the time)
Beautiful day, top off and being followed along our seafront by a guy on a moped.
I said to Ray several times...that guy behind me is not paying attention, he keeps looking out to sea....he's not paying attention...........

Pedestrian crossing ahead, people walk out and I say to Ray...he's not paying attention and ...yup...you guessed it, straight into the back of me and almost ended up sitting next to me.
Dent, scratch and me spitting bullets.

Boy, did I give him some stick.....

He handed over cash for repairs there and then.

Again not in a TVR (hopefully NEVER in a TVR!) - but I managed to get my first car (a little Fiesta 1.1) on top of a 3 week old Audi..

Unfortunately the action of getting it on top of an Audi required some idiot in a Astra to hit me at about 40mph (My Fiesta and the Audi were stopped)

I can still remember my surprise as I fell dazed to the ground after attempting to step out of the car...

Many moons ago, i drove a pug205 gti and was thinking of having it sprayed a diffrent colour, went to speak to a chap i knew about it, and he said all i needed was a little bump and i could make a insurance claim.

a couple of day later i was driving along with sombody right up my bum when the traffic light in front changed to red. so rather than slowing down i drove up to the line and stamped on the brakes.

The car behind locked up but no bump, afew seconds later there was a almighty bang then another then my car jumped
forward.

i jumped out of my car to find the car behind had been rear ended by a Hurse and behind that was an old granda limo with the rest of the convoy all dressed in suits in it !!!

I felt soooo gulity

I went to a bikers pub 2 years back, went to leave but 2 lads were pulling wheelies etc.

I decided to wait for a while and so just sat on my bike for a couple of minutes warming it up. I've no idea how, but I lost concentration and very, very slowly, just sort of, erm, fell over. Trapped beneath a 1000cc bike in front of 2-300 bikers having crashed at zero mph paperbag

Worse, a young girl had to come over to help pick the bike up.

Worse still, I went to replace the mirror a couple of days later, the dealer brought it out and I had to admit I needed one for the other side. This was becasue I'd had a polising accident 2 weeks earlier and pushed it over on the oposite side. 2 crashes, combined speed of 0.

Or, at my closest friends house, parked behind her.

She reversed over the front of my TVR much to her husbands annoyance who had been frantically waving at her to stop. She said the bump couldn't have been her hitting me as she had parking sensors.

Sadly, the bumper mounted sensors on a people carrier are rather higher than the front end of a TVR...

Not to worry, I get to retell the tale and annoy her quite often smile

Now she has a Q7 I'm very careful where I park...

Guy in the vehicle maintenance unit of a big haulage company used to have a party piece of driving the truck he was working on into the workshops at undiminished speed and handbraking it to a halt over his inspection pit.

New workshops were built but he carried on. One day it rained and he belted into the workshops as usual - wet floor - wet tyres.....big lock-up.......big slide....... He careered into his workbench which then went straight through the wall into the conference room of the main site, together with his truck. What was worse was that the chairman of the (very big) company was using the room the next day for an important meeting with clients......

I used that room for training a bit a few years ago - I always stood at the other end........

On my pedal cycle one dark winters evening, head down going to judo class merrily going like Billyo when a sudden loud bang preceded me coming to a rapid full stop in total darknesss with my head somewhere and my legs about two feet higher behind me. Quite a suprise when I climbed out the chair bit of a motorcycle combination I had rear ended.

Not a TVr but when i was 19 i had a Fiat uno, and the brakes failed at 30 MPH coming up to a set of traffic lights. Where several cars were stationary. So i opted to mount the pavement instead of hitting them. I then flew up the curb and got wedged between a phone booth and a lamp post. I was unable to move the car or get out of it. It also happened to be outside the pub i used to work in, so i gathered a large crowd of spectators who were all laughing at me. Luckily cam phones werent around then.

I had been out in the Chim 500 and had parked it on my drive, which is on an incline, with the nose facing the garage door. My wife came back from a shopping trip with her mother and decided to reverse our Ford Galaxy up the drive and in so doing shunted into the back of the Chim - fortunately she didn't ram the nose of the Chim into the garage door. I dined out well in the bedroom for a while after that - every cloud a silver lining eh !.
