Just been the victim of a rear ender whilst sitting in a pelican queue (Cavalier hit at about 35-40mph by Corolla estate cannons into Chimp) and whilst the car looks straightish, I have concerns in case chassis/suspension has suffered. Rear bumper still in one piece despite clearly deforming radically and only a couple of scuffs and rends to show for it...guess it will need a complete new section though as there is delamination over quite an area. Anyone know if, say, Offords or TMS are worth a shout or is it best just to let Cornhill recommend a repairer(Club scheme)? What standard of care can I expect? Is it worth combining with other work (nose respray) whilst in to take advantage of economies of scale? Ideas appreciated.

Sorry to hear that, most annoying when nothing to do with you.
Not sure Offords have a body shop.
Ewhelme Coachworks is probably the place to go, Pr Wood motorbodies or even Team Proactive.

Thanks for that BB, just checked the Ewelme website out (I'd never heard of 'em...look pukka). Was surprised to see Offords list a bodyshop in their Sprint ad as I've never seen such activity at their place but maybe off-site somewhere or agency?

I would recommend Ewelme Coachworks without hesitation.
My Chim has just had a change of colour repaint and all the pix are posted on a recent thread called The Respray-final chapter.......worth a look.

I was there on Saturday, and there's no body shop. Plenty of crunched TVRs, tho'... Perhaps they prepare them on site them send them away for spraying???

Ok, spoken to the main players now and all seem to inspire confidence...all pretty painless, so far.

Have plumped for Team Proactive on the strength of friendliness, proximity and 'can-do' attitude... coming to collect car at lunchtime today. Can't ask for quicker attention than that.
