Now I'm sure to be corrected here but David Gerald have several brand new Tiv's, 57 plates - I thought all the production from Blackpool was already on the market?

They're the remainder of the cars left on the production line when the administrators came in, which were then shipped into storage. Surprised it's taken so long for them to surface; maybe they had to be finished off(?) That Rolex Blue T350 is yummy!

I was at Geralds yesterday, very nice, but to clarify, as I was told, they were not on the line when the penpushers moved in, they were elsewhere. When ownership was sorted, which took a while, they were sold. Competition apparently was strong for what is believed the last car off the line at Bristol Ave, thats sold but some nice new cars there.

The plate reflects the year the car was first registered for road use, not when it was made. Hence they've been sitting around somewhere

IIRC some of those where sitting in Cicely's showroom in Preston for a while before TVR went down.
Am I right Keith?

I'm not sure if those were the cars that couldn't get registered Dave, but if I was to buy one I'd make sure I had the Ministers Approval Certificate for them and they were taxed as PLGs.
I was told the partially complete cars from the factory had gone to David Gerards, but I can't remember seeing any Tamoras (or T350s) in the factory on my visits in 2006, and I can't remember any at Back Home'2006. I assumed the part complete ones would be Sags and Tuscans.

The new 57 plate Spectraflair silver Sagaris (don't think its on DG's website anymore - it was last week) was for sale in TVR Barnet's showroom over a year ago because I looked at it. TVR Barnet went bust, the car went back to the bank apparently and has now resurfaced at David Gerald although it sold very quickly at £45k and there was a queue of people in line for it if the sale fell through apparently. At that price I think it was a bargain for a 'new' Sag and the others seem keenly priced as well .cool

hi Phil....they were in various stages of build when the company went into administration, they were then finished by some staff that nic & dic retained...must admit a bit suprised myself how long it has taken them to finish the job, but better late than never...

I wonder what kind of trade in they'd offer for my 15 year old tatty griff?
If they gave me, say twenty five grand, I'd only have to come up with a little over £5,000. wink

was in David Geralds today, some very very nice 57 plate cars in there, surprising how many had 'sold' boards in the windows.

still plenty left though if anyone has some money burning a hole in their pocket.
