Morning all...picked up a 97 silver Griff 500 last tuesday evening, many miles of in 5 days... the only problems so far,

1st..second day to my horror no oil pressure (HAVE I BOUGHT A DUFFER ME THINKS)engine, oil pump, release valve,(yes i've been reading the bible)got home to late to start tinkering, so a sleepless night. The wire had fallen off the sensor!!! there is a god!

2nd..loosing some coolant from the expansion cap(renewed already)bleed the system will see how it goes. suppose it could be because of the terrible weather we are having! or me overfilling slightly..

3rd.. Keeping my foot off the loud pedal!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry i couldnt get to the meet the Mid Essex owners
as i had to taxi my 13yr old daughter to Stanstead & i couldnt convince her she would enjoy it. fantastic drive back down the A130 though!!! & i presume the 3 chimerea's i saw going into Chelmsford 16.00ish had been along. Hopefully will make it next time. I'm Southend based, if anyone close wants to bleed the system! only joking...

Welcome to the mad house!

Keep your eyes peeled for the Mid-Essex TVRCC meet - second sunday of the month. Alf Essex and I will run another convoy, as everyone seems to enjoy it! (We even get locals coming out of their houses to hear the rumble of 20 odd TVRs!).

If you want the details of the Mid Essex meet, then drop a line to Yellow Peril...

Another silver '97 500 here... my coolant level seems to work best about 1" below the halfway line - any more than that and it poots out on the drive, though I've never see where it comes from! make sure the cap is tight and the rubber ring in good condition with no grit etc in the way.

Big M is the resident Mid-Essex photographer (and the only woman to have a thread locked IIRC on PH)... and yesterday she started taking photos of people with their cars.

Due to the sun (!) I was messing around and suggested everyone should do a Freeman's catalogue pose... unfortunately whilst demonstrating said pose in front of my car... I can snapped!
