Guys/Gals, what am I to do? Driving past AFN Porche in Guildford on Saturday and my 14 year old daughter starts ohhh-ing and aahhh-ing at the porkers in the window. Now we've always bought her up to be a responsible citizen and I even did my bit by buying the best of British when it came to sportscar time.
Now don't get me wrong she loves the TVR and sneaks out to listen to the roar whenever possible, but to - to - to - ogle over a porker really is the limit. I feel let down, embarressed - nay ashamed of myself for letting her get to this state.
Should I beat her, starve her half to death, make her sleep outside in freezing temperatures, or is this just a phase she will grow out of?

That should disappear with age.....I used to like ferraris
(secretly) when I was a little boy, my Dad would have had a heart attack if I had told him: he's a 'Rule Britannia' character....and I am becoming like him
So about your concern with your daughter I suggest IMHO you play it like "I am thousands of feet above this", "Daughter, you will understand when you'll be a grown-up" etc.
You're British aren't you? So stay above!
Good luck!

Its Ok to droole after somthing else after all we are all different and I too used to lust after a Ferrari of my own however after getting behind the TVR (partly cause I couldn't afford an F) and subsequently getting the chance to drive a 355, I will stick with my Chimaera - More fun for less dosh and sounds better too IMHO.

If your daughter wants to lust after something else - let her, its a free world after all.

Yeah Ted's got it right.

If she drools over cars and not the latest 'Five Haircuts on Stools' boy band, then she's OK!

You'll be teaching her how to change a wheel next.

Maybe it's because she doesn't want to be left without a car for 3 months when it's engine goes back to the factory?

Give it a couple more years and you wont EVER want to hear her ooh-ing and aahhing...

Seriously though she is a girl and therefore bound to like girls' cars
