I've had my little trev for about 9 months and starting to think about a service (9,000 trouble free miles so far(well one fan stoppage)).

I saw a comment on a separate thread of servicing and the costs/benefits of doing it at a specialist rather than a dealer. My car is 3 years old and has full TVRSH. I am planning to keep it for a couple of years so I was wondering:
1)how important a dealer stamp really is in the resale value, given that by sale time it will have depreciated; and

2)I just wondered whether anyone had first hand expericence of how much cheaper(?) a specialist would be rather than a dealer....?; and

3) Does anyone have a good recommendation for a specialist in/around London

ps, always a pleasure to read these boards - the sense of fun of trev owners comes out in the threads.

pps. can anyone recall the last time you saw a boxter owner wave at another one???)

David Batty (Station Hill Garage) charged me less than £350 inc VAT for a full service.
