New TVR Parts Website

New site allows TVR owners to buy parts online

TVR owners should find it easier to get hold of parts from today, thanks to a new website.

Main dealer Racing Green TVR is offering enthusiasts the chance to browse and purchase online from an increasing selection of over 2500 TVR lines already held in stock.

Racing Green says an established relationship with Multipart allows for quick turnarounds on orders.

The website, www.thetvrshop.com, has images of the parts and is easy to use, said managing director Colin Bowler.

‘We see this website as augmenting the service we already offer our customers.

‘By giving them an insight into the extensive range of parts we offer we hope to allow them to understand all the options open to them.

‘Our trained engineers can provide a full fitting service or we can ship the parts directly on request.

‘It is all about giving customer’s choice and empowering them in their decisions.’

That was an interesting article until the final sentence. It's an e-shop, how on earth is it 'empowering people in their decisions'?

God I hate all this touchy-feely mumbo-jumbo boocks.

I've had dealings with Racing Green and they're good. Why do so many of you idiots knock anyone trying to sort things out or make thing easier, they have a business to run and that involves making money!!! Time you lived in the real world. Bet you're all the sort who didn't and never would have bought a new TVR and then moans about TVRs not being made any more.... Grow up folks it's a tough world out there, support people trying to sort things out and stop knocking them. I notice out of 3 negative comments only 2 of you list TVRs in your profile and then it's a old S and a suspect and old Tuscan of which neither of you live within a distance to use Racing Green, if you're never going to use the services offered or if they're too expensive for you why not leave comments to people who are. Time will tell how good the parts/services offered are. You lot make me sick.

Sorry if i make you sick for owning an old S. Maybe a should go and buy a porsche instead. Talk about an over reaction - all i said was that 'empowering people in their decisions' is a load of guff which it is. The more places available to get new parts the better obviously.

Neither. I'm p1ssed off with so many negative people knocking things without even giving them a chance.
Said my bit I'm out of here to something more productive.

Oh grow up you over-sensitive child. We observed that an online e-shop (whilst I'm sure it's perfectly good) is slightly mis-described as 'empowering people's decisions..'.

I went on that site today to get some andersen/anderson leads.

and you'll never guess what happened.

It empowered a decision!!! I kid you not! it empowered my decision to not buy them because they seemed a bit pricey.

biggrin

DISCLAIMER

Racing green is a great place, if not just to oggle the huuuge range of stunning cars they always seem to have in stock. they are held in high regard by many tvr oweners as well as Jaguar owners too (probaly lots of other marques too). I have had work done by them before, and it was done to a very high standard. The sales guys are really nice, and one looks a bit like richard o'brian which is nice.
They are, however, in my most humble opinion, and as it happens the opinion of my ever over-streched bank balance, a little bit more expensive than some alternatives. Wheter the level of service and quality of part they offer is reflected in this price differential I could not possible say (because I dont have a scooby doo!)

I don't - please tell!

Meanwhile - good site, well organised, but I can't see a single picture which puts me off. I'd buy HT leads without a photo but not a wheel, for instance.
