Anyone using these? I want some for the Griff but have heard that they are not compatible with some Tiv seatbelts, ie Sagaris. DOn't understand why this would be but hey ho.
Any experiences would be helpful.

I had one which I used with my old MR2 Roadster Turbo, great bit of kit. As you say, they don't fit TVR belts without modification - they can be fitted 'backwards' but it looked crap and was awkward to use. In the end I sold it on and use a harness now. If you do a search, there was an article somebody wrote about making a new bracket that made it work with TVR's.

Great piece of kit, i didn't think it would have so much of an impact. You feel more one with the car, specialy with those supportive Griffith seats they are a must for any trackday or some spirited driving. They will not replave a 4 point harnes, but are way better than the standard seatbelts.

I bought one at MPH this month and its not a straight forward fit to the Griff seatbelt as it has a double pass tongue (see web address above-mine is the upper of the two shown in the pic).
The two options are fit upside down as mentioned above or, cut that raised tongue off and it will then fit and work as intended.
The chap on the stand said that TVRBob on here has done a blog on fitting it to a TVR.

Not used in anger yet, but does seem to do exactly what it says on the tin.

I have one and love it. Now use it in my Subaru (including a track day where it was a godsend), but originally had it in my Griff. True it did have to be put on backwards because of the odd double-pass configuration, so you can't see the logo and the release is on the other side, but when you're hooning sideways and it's holding you in who cares!

Was particularly happy in the griff because it stopped you sliding forward on the leather seat under heavy braking!

Hi Paul,

I did some work with Graham from CG-Lock and sorted out two options to overcome the double pass buckle issue.

The first one shows how to make the standard unit fit by simply reversing the unit

See here

The second requires a little engineering but make a really good job of it. This is how they are currently fitted to mine

Unfortunately no I don't. Making them as one-off's takes too long and I could never recoup enough to justify the hours spent making them.

Cheers guys,
I've been looking at getting a couple (at least) for the Tivs - maybe start with the drivers belt (so get 2) and if they're good get anoter 2 for the passenger side. Been on a good few hoons this year and it is hard on the back to hold yourself in place so anything that helps has got to be a positive.
Do the company that sell the CG make a bracket or would another belt it doesn't fit need a different bracket, ie too many options and therefore too costly so they don't do it.
Maybe someone would be interested in making a batch to sell - I'll take the first 4 (Clivef maybe).

There is another option Paul.

I tested a version called the instructor lock. This version works with the double pass buckle but it needs fitting every time you put your belt on. The idea is that people who switch from car to car can easily take it with them. I had one on my Chimaera passenger seat for several trackdays and it actually worked better than the fixed unit because I had passengers of varying sizes.

Do you have a link to the instructor lock? I really struggled with my CGlocks as the belt gradually pulled loose through them on my car so every few laps i had to keep re-tensioning it again. in the end i took them off as my attention was being diverted to how tight my belt was rather than the track .. in principle it's a great idea so if there's an alternative which would work on my S i'd be interested to hear about it smile

Jools,
I was going to order them off you anyway so good that you are keeping an eye on this.
One of the local Sag guys said it didn't work on his and he ended up with a full refund so glad he mentioned it as I want one, but it's got to work without re-adjustment. I don't want to tighten it every time as this sounds like a ballache - both Tivs are mainly driven by one of us so little need for adjusting every time.

Ive stopped selling them FFG so you'd be better off going to Graham direct anyway.
