Handed the keys to Mrs G today....for her first TVR blast.

She started off quite apprehensive...but on a long straight she found the loud pedal and the big push in the face that is pressing it....and began laughing like a maniac thumbup

Is this good or bad ???

hehe

my other half hates my tiv, he thinks it too much of a bully boy car and says there's too much bonnet.

more like not enough gadgets to get him out of trouble when he gets it all wrong wink

My friend, I believe you have just broken TVR Owners code of the gnomes number 3

Thou shalt not let thy lady friend or slightly feminine civil partner drive thou TVR as thou shalt never hear the end of it!

Do yourself a favour, if you like your TVR then forget buying anymore vehicles and by your lovely missus a TVR S yes

Mrs Falfa gets chatted up every time she goes out in the Chim. I'm getting so worried that I might loose her. Might loose Mrs Falfa too.

Picture this in your minds eye. £45,000 brand new Tuscan two, of which the missus has paid half, she has never drove a rear wheeled drive car before (other than a mk1 1.1 escort) before, TVRCC track day at croft, and guess what, she wants a go yikes MY ARSE FALLS OFF. Off she goes with an instuctor and does brilliantly!!!!!!!!! Six months later she gets herself a beautiful TVR Tamora and twelve months after that she gives me the nod to buy an ex Tuscan Challenge Tasmin for hillclimbs, sprints and trackdays. What a woman!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how things develop eh..........

You are indeed a very lucky man. With a wife like that, you should be in bed at this time of night wink

laugh Good on her, I was looking at our cars last night and realised we have the 3 engines.

1 RV8 - Daisy, my Chim
1 AJP 4.5 - Angelica, Ians LW Cerb
1 SP6 - Candy, MY Sagaris Prototype

Can't be bad, but we argue over who is driving and what car we are going in laugh but seeing as I sometimes ie Once let Ian in my Sag that not a problem and I am allowed (and do) drive his Cerb.

So all in all - its good.

shout Get her her own TVR

It took the present Mrs M sometime before she had a drive. She has been used to her softops - MX5's, Z4 but she eventually admitted the Chim scared her - the noise I think being the number one culprit. Came the day and I said just drive as you would any car (as if winkand don't worry about the noise. Off she goes and ..... drove it like a natural (I don't mean tale out etc rolleyes)but smooth and very confident. Second time she drove me home from the pub .... I was in a bit of a dilemma 'cos I wanted a couple of Tanglefoots and wasn't sure if she would want to drive the Chim home - the first drive she had was just a couple of times around "the block" on quiet roads. She didn't hesitate when I asked if she wanted to drive the Chim .... Phew! I was consigned to Coke if she had said no biggrin So roof down and off we went. Again what a natural she was and I was singing her praises (After only 2 pints I hasten to add!)when we arrived home. She was really chuffed and realised her fears of the Chim were no more.
Mind, there was a downside - she weren't best pleased that her hair had been somewhat drastically re-arranged laugh
