Title says it all really, can someone fill me in with what happened to Marcos.

Are they still out there or have they joined TVR in the land of no more?

Looks like they decided they just weren't going to make any money - so pulled the plug.

Went into administration last month.

Article on the TSO R/T in Autocar this week.

Interestingly, although the list price was about £50K, apparently the "Sport Pack" (as tested) worked out at nearly £90K.

Hi Phil,

He up'ed the prices towards the end by 20% didn't he, didn't sell one at that price though! Gary's colour sceme was the last car built http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/276732.htm

but at least they ceased production without outstanding orders and non-payment of suppliers. They just came to the conclusion that they could not make money naking the cars anymore and shut the business down settling all bills - how old-fashioned and gentlemanly - unlike TVR of course....................

Its a shame Marcos went tits up, but as its already been stated, with the full spec list the price was just way too high to be competetive!

Bloody shame frown

Happy to stand corrected, only going on press release and media pieces in Motorsport and the like.

Did customers lose deposits ? Or just suppliers not getting paid scratchchin ?

I ddn't think you were smile

They just seemed to get benign treatment by the press - as if they had done it as best they could.

Whatever, it is still a shame that another one has gone to the wall - though Marcos have done the pheonix from the ashes thing (several times ?) previously.
