I've got a strange section missing from the bottom leading edge of the driver's door, about an inch square. It's not that noticeable from afar, but unsightly up close, so I would like to get it sorted.

Obviously I'd rather not go to the expense of a new door, making sure it fits getting it sprayed etc. so I'm wondering if there is any way it could be patched then sprayed so as to make it look better?

My only worry is that it was caused in the first placed by the door catching when opening, but I've not been able to see what it might have caught upon though.

I can have a look at it when I open in january,

do you have the piece that came out? i can re-bond or even re-mat it back in and just touch up that area.

No, alas not, it wasn't there when I bought the car frown
