Emailing via Member Profiles

Ted (or anyone else who knows) can you help me please.

Just as loads of people (well OK, 2 then - lol) are trying to email me through my member profile to get my address so they can send me their unwanted TVR Postcards, it doesn't seem to work!

I can't seem to email them either. I'm getting an error message something like "Your email address has not been verified please edit your profile".

I've tried tinkering on with it but to no avail. I'm probably doing something wrong or have somehow set the profile up incorrectly - Any ideas anyone?

Can anyone else confirm that the email via profile system is currently working?

Tried the Email thing and got a bit further this time. The following message was returned once I hit the send:

"jmail.SMTPMail error '8000ffff'

The message was undeliverable. All servers failed to receive the message .execute() { Trying server mail:smtp.nildram.co.uk smtp.nildram.co.uk failed with the message: "SOCKET ERROR: Connection refused" No socket for server. ConnectToServer() 1 of 1 servers failed

Hi,

Sorry - not a good night for bug fixing! It was me, (there's a problem with my login expiring) and despite fixing the problem that prevents you emailing, another cropped up preventing me sending any emails from the site at all. I'm working on that now.

I've just been off looking for it thinking I didn't know ted had added a chat room. Good idea though It would be mad at lunch time for sure.

I'm not a big fan of chat rooms really. Transient conversations can't be read by people later.
