The options would appear to be either Walldonway (which is closer) or Dream Machines. I'm interested to know other owners feedback or whether there are any independents in the area ?

You wont go wrong with Walldonway, Paul is a top chap. He's looked after my Chimaera for the last 2 years. Not the cheapest, BUT the job gets done properly which is worth every penny in my mind.

I've always used Dream Machines and find them very good.

I've always used Walldonway for my T350c, and Chim 500 before that, for servicing and repairs. They have always done a good job on my cars and Paul there is a top bloke and also, I actually think they are reasonably priced.

I'm in my own dilemna as Fernhurst supplied and service my Chim (for the last 3 years) but are about 1¾ hours away so not good for bits and pieces of work.

Dream Machines are only 20 mins away and have sorted my battery, clutch master cylinder and some Waxoyling and have been very helpful. I would ahve bought a car from them but missed out by 10 minutes.

The only problem is that they are (were) still charging near main dealer rates for servicing so I am not sure what to do for the next proper service as the time lost cancels out the service charge a bit. They also charge a nominal loan car fee for insurance

They have been really helpful though (as have Fernies) and I am more than happy to use them. I'm afaid I can't comment on Walldonway as I have had no experience.

What are they charging an hour?

I'm puzzled on how the old dealers are still charging their old prices. Surely they are just indis' like any other now?

Never used Walldonway, I was scared off with the prices they were quoting on my old Chim' 500.

Have used both Austec and APM.

Andy @ APM gets very busy, and he's booked up a long time in advance, but he really does know his stuff, you also know who'll be working on your car, which I find very reassuring.

I use James Motor Sports at Molash between Charing and Canterbury.
Just carried out a big service on my Chim at far less money than the other places mentioned here, but does a very thorough job. Ex workshop manager of Walldonway so knows his TVR's.
Only a small business but you get to speak to the bloke (Chris Baldock, the proprietor)who will work on your P&J.
www.jamesmotorsports.co.uk Web site is very basic as he is too busy repairing cars. No frills, fancy showroom etc: but an excellent bloke.
Also does bodywork repairs, last time I was there he had a couple of griffs undergoing major surgery, has repaired a minor knock on my cars body, really good job

Chris at James Motor Sport gets another thumbs up from me. I've used him for just over a year now with my Chim 450 and he's always been very helpful, done a good job and charged very reasonably for it.

Seconded.

P.M. me before doing anything. There are safety issues we need to discuss.
