Asked this over on tvrcc, thought there would be no harm asking here-Any body used this place for treating their TVR's chassis? Considering it for my Chimaera
If so can you share your experiance of the work, customer service, and longitivity for the protection?
Process and approx prices are here-

Anyone any comments?
Any idea how the black wax underbody seal stuff that they appear to be using compares to say treating the bare metal with say, por15?
Thanks
Matt

Personally I'd scrape off the loose rust, clean the waxoyl off and POR15 the worst areas (outriggers, front chassis rails, wishbones etc).
If it's worse than that then I'd get the body off, replace the iffy bits, shotblast and POR the lot.
If anyone has used them perhaps they could provide feedback.

hi mat, most tvr independent s ,would do a good job of cleaning and treating your chassis, they have experince of bad areas to watch out for, usualy only around 150 pounds,if you got time and dont min d getting your hands dirty ,easier to do your self ,then you can pay extra attention to any bad areas.i very often just spray me used oil around in winter for bit more protection and proper clean and treat every 2 years.
IMO pointless. Just look at that second up from bottom left picture of the front suspension. They've 'rustproofed' the cast alloy suspension arm (hello?...) and haven't achieved 100% coverage anyway (see the brown bits of track arm and subframe or whatever it is - these bits are not covered). It seems you're paying for a good clean and degrease (necessary), hot air dry (excellent idea) and assessment and carrying out of cavity wax injection (not applicable on a TVR unless they inject the chassis cavities - I doubt it, never heard of anyone else doing it). Better to get a trustworthy experience idependent to do it, or better still do the job yourself. And look, the wax has gone everywhere - all over the driveshaft/CV, suspension spring. Messy messy messy.
