Ted,

How about a 'FAQ' type thread for top TVR tips to help people learn from other's mistakes / ideas.

I'll start with this one;

S Series Doors

When replacing the S series interior door trim, after aligning correctly, DON'T drop the little nut inside the door when you are trying to fit it back on the armrest bolt.

Whatever you do, don't do this three times in a row.

When replacing side indicator bulbs, dont let the power lead drop down inside the wing. If you do, its a case of removing carpets etc - a real pain.
A pair of long nose pliars to hold the lead and some masking tape will prevent any scratches on the paint while changing bulbs.

Dont use a leather chamois to dry your car!!!! USe the AutoGlym artificial chamois - way safer and wont leave scuff marks after continued use!

When putting in a battery, don`t take the easy option and just place it in a straighforwards position in the engine bay where anyone can get to it, instead place under the passenger footwell where only a dwarf or a person who is hanging upside down for 30minutes can replace whilst trying to maintain some skin on his hands...

On mine that last little bolt you can't get at has about an inch of thread and it had resin on so it was hard work all the way. So what muppet do you suppose dropped his only 8mm socket down the inside of the door, where you can't get it until you've taken the lining off?

Doh!
