Is this a record or is the owner (a) Telling Porkies (b) Maybe not had the car very long!

It's had 7 previous owners so it's very possible the current owner doesn't have the full history

Very true, however, I asked if the engine had had any remedial work, he answered 'no', he had the opportunity to say 'as far as I know' or similar.

Maybe if it has a factory blueprinted engine and done a lot of motorway journeys it might be able to just manage that milage?

It's exactly the same as mine before I changed a few features. There is no way that has done 67500 without a rebuild. Mine did 34500 before a trip to Power and that's one of the highest mileage cars I know of before a rebuild. If it's been rebuilt once then it's got to be close to another. Also this SP6 requires real specialist knowledge as it one of the very earliest engines and is different in many ways to the latter engines in Tuscans etc.

If anyone is seriously interested in it, I'd take the cam cover off before parting with any cash.
