I've got one of these now, after some 3-4 months of being Tivverless with a depressed clutch pedal, I went into the garage yesterday and found a stiff one.
Following some checks and how the failure had occurred I had suspected the fault was the thrust bearing in the slave cylinder, it has now freed itself?
I jump started the car warmed it up a little and off it went, luckily enough I'm on private ground so I could drive it a bit. A call to Mannings next week and fit the new battery I've bought, makes me feel blessed once again.
The problem I don't beleive has gone away, but if I can drive to a place for medical help makes me feel alot better than having a sick bit of kit many miles away from someone with the knowledge to rectify it.

Best regards,

James Sim.

Problem is maybe a leaky slave cylinder and you have simply pumped the clutch back up?

Hi Gazzab,
That was my first thought, I ordered the clutch fluid tried to top up the resevoir and only succeeded in spilling some all over the floorpan as the resevoir was already full, I stripped off the airbox to bleed it and it was full and under pressure.
It was following a conversation with a mechanic where he told me to see if the car would push backwards and forwards without the engine trying to engage would determine if the clutch was still in a engaged position.
When I couldn't move it either way as I always leave the car in gear whilst idle I jumped in and found the pedal back in the position it should be.

Regards,

James.
