I have recently bought my first TVR, a Chim and was hoping that someone could suggest other garages specialising in TVR servicing in the NW of England. Preferably in the Cheshire or Manchester area. I have taken my car to Christopher Neil in Northwich already and would like to compare prices of service etc. at another garage.
Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Only two I know of to the area are Christopher Neils and Bauer Millet in Manchester . Neither are cheap both about £495 for a basic 6k . I have gone down to Peninsula in Exeter , where a 6 or 12k is £345 , but I have other reasons for going down there . They do however offer a service car and free B+B accomodation .

I've dealt with Christopher Neil and other dealers in the past. In my experience going to the factory for service gets the best results.

I've had my Tuscan serviced at the factory since new. Unlike dealers, you can build a relationship with the factory service dept. and get excellent 1to1 treatment. Plus the cost is very much the same as Christopher Neil, etc.

Without question go to the Factory. They will always have the most up to date tweaks available and are great blokes. You also get to wander around the factory.

I take mine to Hexham Horseless Carriages near Newcastle. May sound a long way off from Derby but I've always been more than happy with the service. They're also nice people.

I live in Southport, but use Harrogate Horseless Carriages, after hearing a "bad story" about a Cerby with a full factory service history (admit cannot verify, but belived it enough to try elsewhere).
HHC charge the usual TVR dealer prices, so not cheap (though 2 new rear SO2's were a big chunk of the bill), but have just got my Griff 500 back and they have done an excellent job (even reset the clock, which I had been too idle to do when the clocks changed.)
So its cheap Xmas presents this year!

What was up with the service for a cerbie from the factory then? I'm thinking of getting mine done there! Did you not consider Christopher Neil in Cheshire, bit less of a drive than HHC?

Bauer and Millet are no longer TVR dealers
