Question - if you put locking valve caps on, do you need to get the wheels re-balanced?

Funnily enough I noticed these on TVRCarParts.com last night

http://www.tvrcarparts.com/pages/partdetail.asp?id...

They seemed expensive at £18 + VAT, but then Ive never looked up the price of locking caps before

Only problem, FUBES, is that PH and TVRCC are full of tales of people having them nicked! I think I'll stick to plastic.

Yeah, but those ones are supposed to be anti-theft/lockable. Not quite sure how, but.....

I think that there is a small grub screw on the side of them. I imagine that the little bastards who nick them are fully tooled up with screwwdrivers, allen keys etc

Why oh why do they nick them?
I surely can't be 'other' TVR owners.
So what do they do with them?

Try your local BMW dealer.
They do good quality stainless ones (but not locking). Few pence each.
I get half a dozen at a time and replace when they get nicked.

Yep, me too. I had a set exactly like what FUBAR posted.... had is the operative word. I have no idea why the little w*nkers steal them either, but I'd rather them make off with some caps than start prizing the TVR badge off / etc.

only reason would be stealing them saves them £18 frown

Agree, lovely colour, just in case they don't hear you coming wink . Looks as if the photo was taken round the back of Drivestyle in Harrogate. They parked my Porsche there when I picked it up, it's a nice feeling when they throw the doors open and your new car comes into view.
