Has anyone fitted the above to either a Sag, T350 or Tamora.

Bought one recently, tvrpower said it would just bolt straight on as a replacement. So i took original wheel off, but then realised that the holes on the steering wheel dont line up with the boss or the separate plate that has the menu buttons on.

Is it just a case of drilling new holes to line up with the steering wheel?

Fitted one on mine some months ago. From what I remember the holes don't line up. I lined the new wheel up, with the steering on dead centre and marked the new holes in the centre boss. Cut the small cables, removed the centre boss drilled and tapped it in a vice. I had to buy new stainless screws, as the original ones were to short. Not an easy job but well worth doing. Someone I know has done one and drilled it in situ, but I opted for removal.

Hi Neil,

Did the momo screws not fit then? When i took the wheel off the boss seemed to have tapped holes in the momo position as well as the standard wheel ones.

If i need to get new screws, what size would i need and where did you get them from.

Re the gearbox and diff - im taking my car down next saturday hopefully.

When do you pick yours up?

Looks like you got the better deal with the hub. I'm sure the screws were 5mm and about 25mm/30mm long, try these people, they do a good range.

Mines going in tomorrow and I hope to collect it on Friday. Fingers crossed

Sorry to drag up this old thread, but I'm thinking of getting a Momo wheel myself, albeit a different model to the Trek R.

Just trying to understand the above posts, so will a Momo wheel fit straight onto the TVR boss or does it definitely need re-drilling? Thanks in advance

The buttons are attached to a separate plate, i was told by dom it just bolted straight on. Removed the wheel from the boss, then moved the plate with the buttons out the way, only to realise that the holes in the plate and boss were not in same position as the wheel.
Actually its bloody obvious if you just look at both wheels.
Mines still in the box, i'll get round to it sometime

Hmmm, it does sound like a fair bit of aggro! Bit cheaky that TVR Power don't mention it in their advert also.

Presumably in addition to having to re-drill holes in the plate and the boss, you will also have to tap a thread into the holes in the boss, so that the screws grip and tighten up.

Jappo, who did yours? or was it already done to the car when you got it?

Done to the car when I got it - I think Power fitted the wheel for the previous owner. Going there to pick the car up tomorrow so I'll check.

Fitted one to my Sag last weekend. The boss had the holes in the correct place it was just the plate that needed drilling. My only other problem was the wires for the buttons kept pinching and I needed to file out some of the plate to avoid the problem.

Excellent, so basically the boss must have 12 holes in it, one set of 6 for momo type wheels and one set for personal/nardi type wheels. I don't mind drilling the plate - just didn't fancy drilling the boss and then having to tap threads into it.
