ROCKINGHAM GATE SALES - CASH ONLY
(Posted on 02/08/2007 by jeremy blandford)
Following the recent announcments in Classic Cars and Classic and Sportscar about this event which lead people to believe that you can turn up on the day and pay, we have had to put in place a contingency plan to allow people to do this. Therefore, I am pleased to announce that if you have not yet bought your Rockingham tickets, you will be able to do so on either Saturday or Sunday. However, tickets remain weekend tickets and prices are unchanged from the price of advanced tickets plus the booking fee(£30 - members, £35 - non members). We would ask however, that in order to avoid hold-ups during the busy arrivals period that you time your arrival for after 10am please. NOTE - WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT THE CORRECT CASH AT THIS SHORT NOTICE - SORRY

This narks me off. We were all told we had to buy weekend tickets even if we could only attend one day.

I have just spent £50 when I could have spent a lot less.

How to upset loyal TVRCC members or what.

You still have to pay the full weekend price even if you turn up for one day so no one's getting a better deal here.

Come on guys - read it properly before biting!

It still costs the same for a day as it does the weekend - Better to stay both days then! smile

Richard

For the sake of clarity..

I can confirm that the price on the gate will NOT be less than anyone has paid already for the weekend pass

Please call me if you have any issues - we are all trying to do our best here and the publicity from the mag articles could have prevented prepaid members getting in so we had to do this as a contingency BUT make sure those who had paid were not dis-advantaged

Hope this helps

Tickets are £25 per person plus a £5 booking fee - so £30 if just one of you or £55 if two, £80 if three etc.

Apologies for jumping. Would have been less than happy if there were 'cheap' tickets for late bookings effectively.

Still not sure I can make this - but good decision. Be crazy not to let people pay on the gate I'm sure the revenue taken will easily more than cover the cost of having people on the gate.

For next time, would prefer to be able to purchase tickets for each day individually e.g. £15 sat, £25 Sun, £30 weekend - Weekend tickets in advance only. This format is used at Silverstone for some events and seems to work well.

Hopefully Make it up there for at least one day if I can!

Have fun!
