I've just gone to get in my Chimaera and the doors will not unlock!! Looking inside the alarm lights don't seem to be flashing so I presume the battery is flat or there is some electrical falt. What do I do as I can't get in to open the bonnet or even release the hand brake to roll it out of the garage!

IF YOU TAKE OFF YOUR REAR REG PLATE YOU WILL FIND A KEY HOLE, PUT YOUR KEY IN IT AND TURN AND YOUR DRIVER'S DOOR WILL MAGICALLY OPEN! that is if it hasn't broken like mine. if so i haven't got a clue, so i leave the driver's window open while in the garage just in case the battery does decide one day goes flat

my brother has a chimaera and has had no problems with it so far. He likes it!
He paid £38,000 (including options)and is running good.

Ed, If you have a homestart service with the AA (or whoever) then use them. I have once drained the battery and they had a much more efficent way of getting it going then following the handbook. Also you can sit inside with a cup of coffee whilst you are waiting

RAC will cover you and not your car, so it can be applied to which ever car you decide. I think it'll cost about £90 (not sure as I get a company discount).

Suggest you buy an automatic battery management conditioner made by CSI Air Flow which plugs into the cigar lighter.Very good if you don't use the car on a daily basis.
