warrantees and servicing

i've been driving a 4.0 chimaera for a couple of years now, and think that it's about time i traded in for a cerbera. however, if i go for a car of an age where the factory warantee has run out, how much would a 12 month or 24 month warantee set me back?
also, for cerb owners out there, how much do you expect to pay for a service, and can you go to an independant to get servicing done on a cerb?

You can expect about 300 per year or 500 for 2 years.. thats how much mine cost me..
