I have always used Mobil coolant as recommended in the manual, but Halfords have stopped selling it. The stores I have asked don't know why, but everywhere seems to be out of stock. The computers show it as an obsolete line.

Does anyone know where it may be available, or is it ok to just use any old brand?

Cheers.

I've been down this route for a mate with Mobil red coloured coolant in his Chim.
Bought some antifreeze in Halfords yesterday for the Pug and its red if that helps, and they all mix OK assuming you don't get some cheap cr*p

I was a bit worried that the regular Halfords stuff would be the cheap cr*p!

I suppose boiling point is the same, and would be the important factor.

If it's for the car, get some bluecol in it, if it's for yourself then someone else may be able to recommend something.

Cheers Kev.

It is for the car.

I'll stick to Cote du Rhone for my antifreeze.
