I've posted in the Cerby area but thought i'd give you a wider picture here. Sorry about the big grin ikon main subject heading but hit the wrong button on keyboard, no offence intended.

Morrisons, Tescos, Asda, Jet, Murco and some Total use the same supplier. Read into that what you like, but I would definately not take any chances right now !!!!

Sainsbury's Fuel comes from BP so these two are ok. BP, Esso and Shell should be fine.

The problem seems to be in the south of the country.

When the findings of Trading Standards are published it should reflect the above.

IMHO the alcohol content of fuel normaly stays around 5%. This figure can be increaded by the fuel supplier, but should be declared at the pumps. It's possible maybe, that the alcohol content has been increased and this has lead to the Lambda sensors burning out because the fuel burns hotter.

If you have recent reciepts for fuel, guard them as you would a winning lottery ticket banghead

PS I'm off today taking the Cerby out for a blast, it's got a tank full of Shell V-max to keep the Lambs smilling all day :-)

My wife filled up the family car with £15 of Asda fuel over the weekend and suffered the same problems most seem to have (stuttering under power as she described it).

She's now brimmed the tank and after a little while it all seems to be OK thankfully, haven't driven it to determine for myself, but cross fingers all is OK.

I switched from Morrisons fuel a long time ago due to a noticeable drop in performance and economy.

It was lumpy, non responsive and smoked more than it should

Im not going back either

V-Power all the way baby

My parents are on their way from the north of Scotland to colchester to stay for a week or 2. They filled up in Invernesst with a 1/2 tank of Tesco unleaded. Made it to King Ross Services outside Edinbough and the car has broken down. RAC on route and no diagnosis yet, but it sounds iffy! This could be a country wide problem! Be carefull.
