It’s Time to say goodbye to my first TVR. byebye

My Tuscan S Mk1 is going at the end of the month after one short year. But what a year it has been.

(The highs?) The Furball Alpine run constantly swamped by admiring looks (the car not me) from Monty Carlo to petrol stations, the workers support rally (with a Clip on BBC Northwest), London thunder, the daily drive to work & back & several trips to Blackpool.

(The Lows?) rolleyes Blowing the engine on the Furball Alpine run & several trips to Blackpool (Half the car has now been replaced in the last year)!

I was thinking of putting the car on ebay today as it’s going at the end of the month, but I have had a pretty good trade in offer I think (£20K). I suppose it will end up about £25K in the show room, but I don’t think it’s worth listing it on ebay with only 10 days to go?

But anyway one things for sure.

Owning a TVR should be a must do in the 100 things to do before you die list, even if only for a year.

Perhaps I will return one day?

Know exactly how you feel. Had my Tuscan for 5 years from new.
Highs, the best was always TVRCC's annual Oulton Park track day in August.
Lows, just the expenses and had to buy another set of wheels so I was mobile on a daily basis.
Do I want another one? Dammit YES YES YES, to park alongside my everyday 996 c2. so I can have the best of both worlds
You WILL miss it!
Cheers, Brian

Colin

Are you sure - they eat a lot and shit a lot - good for the roses though. It'll take you ages getting to Tescos as well.
