Cracked open a bottle of 'Olde Speckled Hen' last night and read on the back the beer was originally brewed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of MG cars. The speckled hen was an old banger that they used as a factory run-around.

So, to celebrate TVR's 60th anniversary, what name could we give a TVR brew and why?

There must be a Lancashire brewery that would be up for making it?

I suppose "Piston Broke Ale" is a bit too real for some of us with engine problems!

TVR - Beer matters

My next doopr neighbour used to be in the brewing industry.
when someone left the company after a number of years' service, they would have a beer named after them.

A TVR beer should be called something like 'Growler', be the colour of black treacle and be strong enough to blow your head off.

I'll have a chat with the Hogs Back Brewery and see if they can do us a special ale for the 60th anniversary of TVR or even the Surrey September "Diamonds are Forever" Tour. The Hogs Back are always a welcome site at the Cranleigh Classic Car Show in August just bring another driver for getting home.

Of course, we'd have to think of another name for SP6 owners!

A local-ish brewery to me does Chimera beer. Maybe we could convince them to do something?

We need two beers.
The S6 owners need something really powerful Named "Head Explosion"
And a sediment filled one called "Old Rumbler" for the RV8 boys. wobble
