If you want a proper, decent respray, budget for £3 - £4k, you can get better for 'cash' jobs. Not sure about carpets, probably around £400?

You get the proper job. Roof off, doors, bonnet, boot lid, rear light lens cover. Proper prepearation and plenty of paint, right back to the black/insides.

Sure for £1500 you'll get a full respray, but the quality wont be as good and they will just mask everything.

Fair point Mark - just wondered really.

Does beg the question, in view of the amount of stonechips TVRs collect, if is worth spending that much but each to their own.

Best wishes

£200 ? But the paint costs more than that ! Even if the paint was free then there is peoples time, the equipment and the premises....... How can that be charged at less than say £30 ph plus vat? Does it take less than a 7hrs to prep and paint a cerbera (with free paint?)? I dont think so.

I had my Cerbera resprayed for £200, A1 class job, doors off and all that. Yes I did have it done in my own body shop. Like to meet some of you 2/3 grand boys, my accountant would love it Ha Ha.

So are Green Star doing resprays for £200 then?

Fibreglass resprays are always hard work, because of the amount of prep work involved. Any skimping on the prep is likely to lead to a poor job in the end. Realistically, if you want to save money and get a good job, do as much of the prep yourself as you can. And don't expect that "bargian" respray to give you the same results as one that cost 2 or 3 grand.
