Don't build your hopes up on that Al Melling bid.
Just look at his record.
Just a con man, be warned!!

Id rather put my faith in a man who has his own name and own money behind the venture rather than some rich kid who wanted to buy a toy with daddies money

TVR will never die, it will continue to exist as does MG, Triumph, etc.

Just don't expect to many more new TVR's to be launched.

So hang on to your Tiv's, we will not see the like of them again.

i agree, the TVR brand is far too important, and significant to disappear. It will be back sooner or later, maybe later than we all want, and perhaps with more of a mass produced theme, but the TVR brand will never dienono

not sure if there is a mythical beast with the body of a phoenix, head of a british bulldog and wearing a blackpool 'kiss me quick' hat, but if there is, i hope it rises from the ashes left by the retreating russians (not a new tactic for them) to rip the doubters to shreds.

of the known bidders, the only one to fit the TVR bill at the moment is the nutty professor known as al melling. the guy can obviously design an engine, but does he have the resources to refine it before unleashing it on the customers?

Being a bit of a motorbike rider in the past, I remember all this hype around Melling surrounding Norton, which died a death, with the Commando surviving all attempts to kill it.

I, personally, don't have any faith in Al Melling, but even less in Moleskins, even though he did improve the build quality to what I'm sure the workforce would have wanted the cars to have in the first place.

I'd sooner see a new team take the marque forward, towards a more avant-gard, less computer game'd design, giving the more traditional TVR "more-bangs-for-your-buck", look like nothing else, but still affordable, car.

Built in Blackpool.
