After the amount of comments I had regarding the "Awesome noise" my Cerbie was making on sunday, here is the lowdown on that 'zaust

It's a Hayward and Scott custom de-cat. Full system from manifold backwards to the tail. Based losely on the TVR sports exhaust system but a slightly bigger bore and 1/4" larger exit pipes at the back.

Cost £750+VAT
www.haywardandscott.co.uk

Longer thread about it here in the Cerbera forum: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=352309&f=6&h=0

BTW, cheers to Ash4y who commented that he could hear it coming from quarter mile away and to the unnamed lady who chastised me for firing up without warning as she was standing behind me in the golf club carpark ("Could you warn me next time, I almost sh*t myself" )

I assume you're the mental Red Griff then!

Thanks for the complement dude. I do love that sound, best thing I've done to the Cerb (only think apart from fix the f**ked clutch and give her a 12k service).

thumbup Indeed I am, you have prompted/convinced me to have some modifications done to my exhaust. Have already binned the cats, but no great difference in noise, a week on Saturday and Offords are going to tinker with my rear silencer, should sound a liitle throatier hopefully! smokin

I used to start work at 6am so I used to fire-up the Cerbera 4.5 at about 5.30am every morning!

I'll bet you were very popular in your local neighbourhood! I'm not too bad, the earliest I ever have to leave home is 07:30, though this is on a Sunday some days so I consider myself to be doing people a favour and waking them up in time for church (I'm such a lying b*stard sometimes (confirmed athiest))

I have his exhaust now, and when tested on my car it came out at 109db - I did ask Andy if he had had the precats removed on his car but he thought they were still there - I'm not so sure
