Was the scheme ringfenced and overseen by trustees?

Who were the administrators of the workers pension scheme? (I mean administrators in the sense of running the scheme not PKF who are dealing with the administration of the receivership. )

I had a letter from the pension folk myself the other day- I haven't paid into the scheme for over 3 years since I left TVR- telling me that I could either transfer the money to another scheme or continue paying in myself. I took advice from my current pension people and they said that by law I can leave the pot of cash where it is until nearer retirement time and that should have been offered as an option. They also said that by offering just the two options, the financial services company operating the pension scheme would stand to gain commission payments if you continue to pay in or if you move the pot....hmmmm...scratchchin

I sometimes think the 'ex' TVR workers should have their own secret forum - so stuff like this is a little bit more private.

OK, you've just stepped into my area with this one. Anyone who needs a free chat about this drop me a line via my profile. For those that might be interested i'm a G60 Pension Transfer, etc specialist and qualified pension scheme administrator, and train many of the companies advisers out there. I'm not local but have a son (and house) in Lancaster so could arrange a meet once this pans out should some of you need it. Unable to make the Thunder Ball but more than happy to help. No point me guessing (although I have some idea of the structure of the pensions from some of the comments here) where this is going. Someone would need to speak to me direct and send me copies of paperwork to comment further but more than happy to help out.
