Is it just me or do the various different pictures of the new Typhoon look terrible? They hype it as the first "totally CAD designed TVR" and from what I can tell they must have used a ZX Spectrum. I'm hoping the real thing looks better in the flesh; not that I'll ever have the money to own one but I'm concerned for the rest of you PHers!!!

Just because some of us wont have the ability to own a brand new TVR or some time, it doesnt mean you cant offer your opinion matey
And yes....its shite!
I heard it was done in a hurry, so was not 'fully resolved'.(i have my own opinions on this)
Perhaps they did not do any real sketches at all, which is the proper process.
To me it looks like 3 cars joined together with different front, side and rear themes which do not hold together, but it is probably unfair to rip into the designer, perhaps he was ordered to add this, exagerate that.
I blame the man in charge, who does not have any idea what is good, and has completely ignored the DNA heritage which is so strongly associated with TVR
Rant over.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Nobody on here actually knows who owns TVR anymore and if it actually still exists.
FWIW, they may aswell have shown a photo of the space shuttle, with the quote "we're building a road going version of this" for all the chance you've ever got of seeing the "tetley" or whatever it's called on the roads.
I'm confused as to how TVR are allowed to use the images. My understanding was that the Manchester University Automotive Design studio that did the Typhoon CAD images never got paid, and still own the IP.
I'd be pleased if somebody proved me wrong on that, but with everything else going on at TVR, it's something i can believe!

What Smolenski not a pillar of financial righteousness! What an astonishing suggestion!
PS I wonder where he learnt that from?

Hopefully they own the rights to the stupid name as well 'Typhoon' - whats powering it a Dyson hoover motor!
although I suspect that was another NS cock up thinking 'Typhon' was spelt incorrectly.
