Biofuelled TVR?
Discussion
[quote=RUSSELLM]I for one am looking forward to global warming, I'm debating whether to cover the Cerb in solar panels.
Or alternatively, if the predicted hurricanes come along, I'd be quite interested in turning it in to a big kite, like those things you see flying along the beach./quote]
ROFL! But on a more serious note, is it possible?

I dont see any reason why not, bio ethanol e85 has a lower calorific value but a hight octane rating 107 i think.
there are some problems with it being corosive so fuel lines, fuel tanks and fitting may need changing... Im activley looking for a partner to help us run bio ethanol in the racer

I drive a Saab 9-5 2.0t that actually gets 30 bhp more when run on E85 thanks to the higher octane rate, 104 if I recall correctly.
Here are some facts about E85: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E85
One interesting thing is that the Swedish equivalent of the BTCC racing series, called STCC has decided that the race cars must run on E85 the coming season.
