One of the things I have learned on this web site is the importance of the dealer to TVR owners. I leave in North West London and my closest dealer is the TVR-Centre in Barnet. I have rented a Grffith from them a couple of times and they were ok - but that's not quite like ownership is it?!!
Has anyone here ever dealt with them?

Thierry - are you looking to buy or get one serviced?

Rich,

I am talking about servicing (both the car and the potentially distressed driver!).

Thanks

.... I was a bit quick in pressing the 'submit' button !

Basically this what I am thinking: it might be worth spending a bit more to buy from an registered TVR dealer if - big if - this gives you access to first class service and official TVR warranty a couple of miles away from home. The other option is to buy from a specialist and have it serviced with a specialist but that would less 'convenient' as most of the reputable ones seems to be rather far away (not a problem when buying but certainly one for servicing / maintenance / support etc.)

I have always had excellent service from the TVR Centre's service department. Having said that they give priority to customers who have purchased their cars from them, so you may have problems booking a car in if bought elsewhere

Tower View are in North London at the end of the M1 - you could use them for servicing?

Rich,

I've had a look at their web site - sounds very good to me. Small specialised garage with people who know what they are talking about... well that's how I perceive them. Would you agree?
I've got the money, I know how much insurance and servicing would cost. Now really what I need is a garage to park the beast as it won't be used every day (I'm a commuter you see). Unfortunately they are few and far between in my area (and also outrageously expensive). But I'll get there...

Cheers

I just got my car back from them yesterday. And as I have not driven it yet I cant say how good they are, but they are a very friendly bunch.who seem to know what they are talking about. They finished the work on time and did only what I asked.
For a none technical person like me thats what you need.
