That thread was removed I am sure, don't know if it was because there was to much naming going on, the woman was the accountant (well that was the position that was written in the thread), I had dealings with her directly when I was trying to sort an ECU warranty replacement in Nov 06, she was the only person I got anywhere with and eventually kicked some arse to get something done. Maybe she got out before the final fall out??

I will say this in defence of Mike Penny,he was always there to help and in my book is a nice and pleasant guy, and one who did care about his customers .The other guy although not a director who was I believe Transport Manager and everything else too, very highly customer focused and in my opinon should have been running TVR. He was Dave Cumming very sadley no longer with us anymore.

All directors have now resigned from Blackpool Automotive as per Companies House (as of today) which is to be expected given that the company is in administration. Also did anyone see this in the FT yesterday?
Administrators of the Blackpool manufacturing operations of TVR, the maker of brutally fast sports cars, said last night they intended to sell them as a going concern.
But they declined to clarify whether the rights to the TVR name could be included in the sale, or whether Nikolai Smolensky, Russian oligarch, who bought TVR for a reputed Pounds 15m in 2004, could be prevented from carrying out his declared intention to set up a separate TVR operation outside the UK.
Kerry Bailey, Matthew Gibson and Philip Long, PKF (UK) joint administrators, said that "it is our intention to advertise the business for sale as a going concern and we are optimistic that a purchaser willbe found in the new year".
But the company for sale is Blackpool Automotive and was created only last year as part of a restructuring by Mr Smolensky, who changed its name from TVR Engineering and Production in May.
Establishing its precise assets, and whether they include the crucial TVR name, will be important to a long list of creditors, many of them regional. The company stood out in the specialist car industry for designing and building its own engines rather than buying them from big manufacturers.
The administrators have yet to set out the extent of indebtedness of TVR, whose cars have been made in Blackpool since 1947. But the difficulties encountered by even respected small specialist carmakers were underlined in TVR's last published accounts. These showed a pre-tax loss of Pounds 11.8m in 2005, almost as much as its Pounds 16.7m turnover. "At the moment we can't really go into that," Mr Gibson said when queried about the TVR name ownership by the Financial Times.
The administrators spent some time yesterday discussing with trade union officials the future of the 250 staff employed at the Blackpool operations when the administrators moved in just before Christmas*

The "directors" in many cases were not of the executive kind found in most companies but standard employees (other than DO and NS). I think that sitting pretty is probably the last thing on their minds.
DO was a standard employee, just managed to brown nose his way to the top with a lot of back stabbing along the way, ended up with no respect or loyalty from the employees.
now MP worked his way up, and with some exceptions he had respect and loyalty from employees.
NS never earned any respect!

Thanks for your confirmation re MP.The other two I've seen on television,it is called interference and look what damage its done.In the dictionary interference means neutralizing each other, maybe NS needed to spend more time at B/Ave and see what was going on, then this type of employee could have been weeded out before it was too late, but unfortunately in this case its too late.

Was it not MP who gave DO the chance to get to the top ?
I for one did not have any respect for MP, his bullying and shouting tactics were far from that of a trained manager. He was unskilled with a lack of professional and academic qualifications (these gain respect), unless you classify his embalming or taxi driving past.
